OBI Emelonye’s action-comedy ‘Money Miss Road’ has launched in theaters across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Blue Pictures presented the picture to industry insiders and pressmen on Tuesday, July 19, and it will be released in global theaters on June 22, 2022.

The special event was hosted at the Blue Pictures Cinema Onikan in Lagos, with film cast members Jidekene Achufusi and Charly Boy Oputa in attendance, as well as producer Joy Odiete, CEO of Blue Pictures, and film executives and investors.

The action comedy is directed by UK-based multiple award-winning director Obi Emelonye and follows two down-on-their-luck buddies, Josiah and Joseph. When Josiah’s wife Lucy unexpectedly arrives with their three kids, Joseph checks into a nearby motel. However, a mix-up places him in the chamber of Diokpa, a local crime Lord. What Joseph discovers in Diokpa’s chamber alters his and his friend Josiah’s lives, resulting in a cat-and-mouse game.

Blue Pictures Entertainment, Codeo Limited, and The Nollywood Factory collaborated on the project.
“We witness individuals running into money that they never believed they could ever have,” stated Producer Joy Odiete of the story’s theme.
