My relationship with Basketmouth, by Lisa Viola

Lisa Viola, a fast-rising singer, has confirmed her connection with actor and comedian Bright Okpocha nicknamed Basketmouth.
According to the Angolan-born, Australian-raised singer, she met Basketmouth many years ago in Australia but was ignorant of his fame until much later.
“I met Basket in Australia during his concert many years ago,” Viola revealed of her first meeting with the legendary comedian.
To be honest, I had no idea who he was because I didn’t watch much humor. I recall meeting him and telling him about my music.
“He posted my music video on his FB page. I always remembered that. When I found out I was coming to Nigeria, I messaged him on social media. I really had no idea how much of an icon he was until I got here. He’s a beloved Nigerian superstar!

“Basketmouth was my mentor.” Since I arrived in Nigeria. He has provided me with invaluable insight into the industry, culture, and company. BasketMouth is what I want to be when I grow up! But, of course, a feminine version.
“Now, he’s the executive producer of my soon-to-be-released EP, Mixed Feelings, which Duktor Set produced.”
“The EP will be out on August 19, but I already have a song, Lagos, starring Majeed, my label mate, storming the radios,” claimed the singer.
