Osun State Governor-elect Senator Ademola Adekele has made a pledge to the people.

He assured the people of the state that he is willing to serve. He stated that he was aware of the state’s numerous issues, but that he would face them front on.  Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, beat the incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress contender, Adegboyega Oyetola, to win the July 16 election.

Adeleke received 403,371 votes and won in 17 local government areas, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, defeating Oyetola, who received 375,027 votes and won in 13 LGAs. The election included 15 different political parties.

Adeleke, who obtained his Certificate of Return from the INEC on Wednesday, told Saturday PUNCH, quote, “My election by the good people of Osun State is divine.” I am ready to govern. I am also well aware of the numerous issues that our state’s citizens face.
I want to reassure you and the citizens of our beloved state that I will not let them down.

“I have the ability to govern the state, and I shall do it with God’s fear.” I will offer the necessary leadership. I’ve learned a lot in the four years since our first mandate was stolen. “I swear not to let the people down.”

We will prioritize our priorities, and I can guarantee you that the people’s needs will be our first priority.
Osun people have endured enough; they should grin and laugh like their counterparts in other functioning states.
We will make that happen.”
