BBNaija Season 7: Excitement, drama, intrigues as reality show returns today

The countdown to the seventh season of Big Brother Naija finishes today when Ebuka Obi-Uchendu declares the new season open at around 7 p.m. (WAT).
This will be the seventh season, and like past seasons, it promises to be full of love triangles, passionate arguments, shocking evictions, and fierce rivalry for N100 million in rewards.
During the build-up to the new edition, the organizers rewarded fans to an exclusive Shine Ya Eye reunion event. The reunion drove fans and watchers alike down memory lane, whetting their appetites for the upcoming season.
Some roommates had returned with various goals, such as cleaning up their image, clearing the air on certain preconceptions, and spilling dirt on others.
This year, like in previous seasons, there will be two launch concerts, the first on Saturday, July 23, and the second on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
There would also be no SMS voting, as well as the return of the ‘fan-favorite ‘Ninjas’ and a live studio audience. Previously, supporters of various housemates were welcomed to the live eviction show on Sundays, and ‘Ninjas’ were utilized to help with challenges, however this was discontinued owing to COVID-19 limits.
The main prize for the new season, dubbed “The Only Way Up,” is N100 million, the most in a single reality TV program award on the African continent. Thirty fortunate fans will also win N1 million apiece in the Fave Lock-In campaign, which is only available to DStv and GOtv subscribers.
Ebuka will host the show, while Toke Makinwa will lead the Buzz, an exclusive chat show about the house’s numerous activities.
