Actress, Didi Ekanem laments "I’m tired of buying water in Lagos" - IgbohoConnect
  1. Didi Ekanem, a Nollywood actress and fashion entrepreneur, has lamented the scarcity of clean water in Lagos State.

The 34-year-old, who frequently reminds her fans that she takes care of her business, took to Instagram to lament the amount of money she has spent to get good water on Lagos Island.

According to her, the funds are sufficient to construct a duplex. She also stated that Lagos Island is a shambles.

“I’m tired of buying water in Lagos,” Ekanem wrote. If I calculate how much money I spend on water each year, I can afford to build an entire duplex. The entire island’s water is a shambles! “I don’t understand how someone can live in a mansion and not have access to safe drinking water.”

Didi Ekanem complains about adulthood being a con.

The serial entrepreneur via her Instagram page revealed that her degree certificate is still resting in her father’s cupboard while she’s struggling out there to make a living outside her area or studies.

Ekanem also beckoned on all Nigerians to go get their PVC and jointly vote out the bad eggs in the government.

She wrote: “My day started at 4am… 7 different types of foods in liters. True true adulthood na scam in Nigeria. Only you will go through university for 4 years, 1 year Youth service and come out and become what you become. My degree is somewhere in my father’s cupboard & I remember when I applied for a bank job in 2016. Every bank wanted me to be a marketer … like say they wan sell me. As I no gree, no job for me. That was when I took matters into my own hands, enrolled in a fashion school and became a fashion designer /business woman.

To live in a country like Nigeria, especially in Lagos, one source of income is never enough..So I decided to monetise another of my passion which is cooking and started @dailymeals_odot. To cut the story short… Get your PVC so that we can work less and live well in this country. I’m just saying o. I don’t know if this is even possible in this country but, let’s try!”
