Award-winning film actress, activist and youth advocate, Hilda Dokubo has declared interest in contesting the Asalga/Akulga federal constituency in the House of Representatives under the Labour Party (LP).
The actres put out a banner announcing her intention in a now-viral tweet.
“My dear people, I write to apply. Yours obediently,” her tweet,branded with the Labour Party logo, reads.
Dokubo has been very open about her support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the LP.
She participated in a street rally in Port Harcourt together by the youths in support of Obi’s candidacy.
Dokubo made her Nollywood debut during her youth service in a 1992 film titled ‘Evil Passion’.
She has since featured in several other films including ‘Gone Forever’, ‘End of the Wicked’, and ‘My Goodwill’.
