One of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi’s wives, Olori Abbey, is lamenting the passing of the king. Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo, passed away in April, according to a report from IgbohoConnect News published in April.   Early on Saturday morning, the body of the senior Yoruba traditional leader was carried to Oyo, where traditional ceremonies got under way. The late king or queen had governed for 52 years at the age of 83, making him or her the Alaafin with the longest reign. Olori Abbey shared pictures of herself with the Alaafin’s frame to commemorate his five-month anniversary.
