Sikiru began his career in Nollywood with his first film. He was most well-known for his roles in Yoruba films.
He took on the roles of an armed robber, herbalist, and ritualist. During his lifetime, he appeared in over 50 films.
He stopped appearing on TV screens a few years before his death because he was not given as many roles as he used to.
In 2015, he appeared in the film Ayaba Oosa. Sikiru Adeshina appears in it as one of the palace chiefs.

Arakangudu is said to have had eight wives and 26 children when he died. When he died, his eighth wife was heavily pregnant. According to reports, he died on February 8, 2016, in his Kaduna home, of an Asthmatic attack.
