See How God Directed Me To Be Able to Balance My Career With My Family – Mercy Johnson Reveals Reasons
It is widely believed that some actresses find it difficult to maintain their careers and keep a home. However, popular actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, has constantly proven that it is possible to give proper attention to one’s career, and still not neglect the home front.
The dark-skinned actress has wowed her fans over the years with her level of commitment to both her family and career.
On her social media pages, she often shares fond moments with her family, as well as she promotes her career. On August 26, 2022, she marked the 11th anniversary of her marriage to her husband, Odi Okojie. She wrote on Instagram, “Chapter 11. Prince Odi Okojie held my hands and promised never to let it go. We are still fresh like yesterday. Thank you, Lord.”
On his part, Okojie said, “Every love story has a special, unique, memorable and beautiful storyline, but ours is my favourite. To this end, I say to the most beautiful, intelligent, talented, yet humble woman who has given me the most beautiful life I have ever wanted. Congratulations to us on our 11th wedding anniversary.”
On the actress’ 38th birthday on August 28, 2022, her husband described her as ‘beauty with brain’. He wrote, “My dear wife; my beauty and brain, and the one that completes me. I celebrate you today, and I thank God for blessing you more than you ever deserve. I love you until the rapture comes…”
The actress has also shown that her children are her priority and she would go all out for them. Recall that in October 2021, she complained that her daughter, Purity, was being bullied by a teacher because the latter did not like her (Mercy). In an Instagram Live video, she recorded herself in real-time as she stormed the school to chastise the said teacher. Her action won her a lot of commendation from people who praised her for not joking with her children’s wellbeing.
However, despite the love and bond she shares with her children, she does not hesitate to discipline them.
It is also worthy of note that she has always been supportive of her husband’s business and political careers. In May 2022, her husband won the ticket of the All Progressives Congress to contest the Esan North East/South East Federal Constituency (Edo State) in the House of Representatives. In her congratulatory message to her husband, Mercy wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations on this win. You are a good man and a man of the people. I am sure you will be an awesome federal representative for the good people of Esan land. The mission is now a movement.”
Beyond dazzling her fans in movies, TV shows and skits, she is also an ambassador for many brands. This is even as she has been consistent with her acting career. ‘Passport’, a movie she featured in was released to cinemas on September 2, 2022.
