On the evening of November 20, 2022, many of Kizz Daniel’s devoted followers were left bewildered when the singer didn’t show up to perform at the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup as he had previously promised.
According to Kemi Filani, the 28-year-old Buga crooner Kizz Daniel confirmed he will be performing at the world cup opening ceremony in an Instagram post on Friday, November 11. In the post, he posted photos of himself and other artists that will be performing at the ceremony. Kemi Filani was able to find this out because Kizz Daniel posted the photos.
He said in the post’s accompanying caption, “This one is for Africa. This one is for the nation of the Vado. See you at the World Cup in Qatar on November 23, 2022!”
Kizz Daniel was not present during the opening ceremony of the competition in Qatar, which was a visual spectacle for fans all over the world and featured a performance by the lead vocalist of the Korean pop band BTS, Jung Kook. Jung Kook lit up the Al Bayt Stadium with his performance alongside the Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.
Twitter was flooded with responses from people who were confused because they thought Kizz Daniel was going to perform at the opening ceremony.
