22Yrs Old, Ayuba Enupe Arrested, Bags 3 Years Jail Term For Theft, Housebreaking In Kwara
Ayuba Enupe, 22, was sentenced to three years in jail for housebreaking and stealing five bundles of 50kg bags in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State.
The defendant was brought before Magistrate Abdullahi Ahmed Boro, who sentenced him to three years in prison without the option of a fine after finding him guilty of the offense.
Ayuba was detained by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, for reportedly breaking into the property of one Mr Jimoh Adigun at General Hospital Road, Kaima at 1:00 hrs on Thursday, July 21, 2022, and carting away five bundles of 50kg bags.
The complainant reported the matter, and Ayuba was subsequently apprehended by civil defence corps agents while attempting to dispose of the stolen items.
Ayuba was previously involved in another housebreaking and theft of two Android phones from the home of one Abdulrasaq in the Kuokuo district of Kaiama.
Jonah Gabriel, the Acting Commandant, urged Kwarans to remain watchful and report any suspicious activity in their domains.
He told Nigerians that the Civil Defence Corps will not compromise its obligations to defend Nigerians’ lives and property, and he asked for greater collaboration and assistance in establishing a crime-free society.
